People love open source stuff. If it did go open source it would probably take off more than it did at its peak.

Windows Phone Mobile may die but the user interface will live on. There are a lot of people who are still big fans of it. So much so that there are at least 3 good launchers on Android that simulate the Windows Mobile 10 experience. It's a shame that Microsoft can't seem to get it together to push forward with their phone OS. It's actually quite amazing.

I'M JUST GOING to SAY that YES I ACTUALLY MOVED ON…!!! I gave it a BIG CHANCE…!!! And i ALWAYS LOVED IT…!!! I STILL think that the Windows MOBILE LAUNCHER WITH THE LIVE TILES IS BETTER THAN ANDROID AND APPLE IPHONES…!!! I STILL LOVE IT…!!! BUT I FINALLY GAVE UP BECAUSE OF THE APP STORE NOT HAVING ANYBODY REALLY CREATING AND FULLY BACKING WINDOWS PHONES WITH GOOD APPS…!!! AND yes at FIRST i ACTUALLY HAD the MAIN APPS that i USUALLY ONLY USED… But as TIME WENT ON and i STARTED CHECKING OUT and USING OTHER NEW APPS that i NOW love i STARTED to NOT FIND those APPS on the Windows phone APP STORE…!!! And that WAS the ONLY REASON WHY I FINALLY GAVE UP ON THEM and DECIDED to MOVE ON BACK to ANDROID…!!!

I request you to put some effort to bring back Lumia Camera Classic app to the Microsoft Store or enable DNG feature for the Lumia series because i really miss the Lumia camera quality on my Lumia 640 xl.

I am a die hard nokia fan and stayed with windows mobile for around 5 years with 820, 925, 830, 730. After being fed up with the not user friendly os I was very disappointed about windows mobile and said bye to windows mobile last year. They could have done better than they did. Sad to say that Microsoft destroyed the name NOKIA to the ground. Fortunately Nokia came back.

Windows should have their own phone but it should be based on Android with their own launcher it's a bit like Samsung when they used to use TouchWiz that is not the actual Android default

Windows phones are really really good for old people I know you can install launchers but sometimes launcher are broken and miss some features or they bug out I do believe the bigger icons are better if you got less stuff like WhatsApp contacts and just a few other things

The stupid decision to dump the stable windows phone 8.1 in favour of the unstable 10 and not to mention the fact that Microsoft promised the 10 update to Windows phone 8 users and later went back on their promise led to many loyal fans like myself to abandon it

What is open source? You never explained that, and then who wants another piece of crap or being forced into another system, cost us money, and besides with all the problems with windows 10, They should stop doing their crap to us, quit spying, and forcing us to use their products and stop out dating programs we use, And every other day always updates that take forever load etc. should never happen !

Hahaha open source windows mobile? Why? It's still my favorite mobile OS, but as we all know there is no demand and no developer interest. With how deeply it hooks into Windows 10 it could present security issues.

An open source Windows will be useless , for a simple reason: even Microsoft programmers can't understand why a patch of code was approved.

Open sourcing WIndows 10 mobile would make it very possible to run on current hardware. If they can make Windows on Arm run on the 950xl, I'm sure these hackers can make W10M run on a galaxy 9.

Open sourcing Win10 Mobile seems pointless, yeah. But I'm not interested in "moving on". I'm not sure what I'm going to do when my Lumia dies. Maybe an Android phone that doesn't have Google Play apps on it, if I can find one.
