Sony WF-1000XM3 True Wireless Earbuds | InsideTech Unboxing & In-Depth Review. This is it. The earbuds we’ve been waiting for. Sony’s new WF-1000XM3 are the only flagship true wireless earbuds on the market offering active noise cancelling. Alongside that, they’re packing up to 32 hours of total battery life, digital audio upscaling, adaptive sound control and so much more! Sony have really knocked it out the park with these earbuds, and they’re the best sounding true wireless earphones out there!

This in-depth review covers all of the new features (including of course that active noise cancelling) and also everything that’s changed from the previous model (WF-1000X).

I got them Saturday and been using them a few days. My only problem is that they’re very uncomfortable and none of the plugs fit, they fall off if you move in certain specific ways. I had the Bose Soundsport and they sound about the same and those never fall off. Kind of regretting me buying them. They sound really good and ANC is better than expected. Quality wise they look fantastic and feel great. Connection with different devices is also kind of bad, in order to change devices you can’t just use one button the change it, like the Bose, I need to play with them a little bit more, but as of right now, those great reviews you’re seeing everywhere don’t seem to match my experience overall.

One of the features highlighted is if one of the earbuds is removed temporarily from the ear, it stops or pauses the music all together which is quite annoying for those individuals who love to listen to their own vocals through the earbud-free ear as they sing along to the music streamed via one earbud or is it possible to disable this feature through the handset?

Great review. Sober, thorough, and excellent shallow DoF footage. I'm missing two aspects, though: (1) Any issues using them with an Apple TV? (2) Pairing and using them with a Windows 10 PC (in my case a Surface Pro from 2017). Would you mind testing these cases and add the findings in the comments?

As far as sound goes I am sure the Astrotec S80 delivers the same quality at 89 Euro.

So I bought these. Loved them at first. But I'm having an issue which I'm not sure if it's a built in or just broken.

My left and right ear buds work fine together as well as when the right ear bud is in the case, the left one works still. However if the left is in the case, the right does not connect nor can I do anything. Is this a limitation of the earbuds or should i return and get a new pair.

Would it be fair to say that while they are not rated for sweat/water resistance, it would be unlikely that small amounts of sweat or water would hurt them?

4:10 how did you turn your head so smoothly? I suspect based on your flat vocal delivery and flat head rotation, that you may be a Sony robot.

Odd question for you… can you connect a usb-c – c cable from the case to an android phone and see if it can charge the phone? Having your headphones case as a backup battery would be amazing.

@InsideTech What set up did you use to record the phone call … that is one of the best YouTube call recordings that I have seen to date.

I just received my wf-1000xm3 yesterday. I am really happy with this earphones. Great sound quality, noise canceling works really good and the design is comfortable and beautiful. Sony have a winner. I am an iPhone user, but the wf-1000xm3 are superior to the AirPods in almost every aspect.

Pretty good review here. Really detailed look at the ANC of these headphones. I found the ANC so subtle that I can't even tell the difference

Are you sure you can use either earbud on their own? I know you can use the left on its own but I don't think you can use the right while the left is charging.

I want to get these earbuds, but worry they'll fall out when I cruise in my wheelchair. How well do they stay in your ears? Any recommendations?

If you were to run up and down stairs, would you be worried about them falling out? I don't plan to work out with them, but if I needed to run to the train platform or to catch a crosswalk light, I wouldn't want to worry about them.

If you were to choose between Sennheiser Momentums and Sonys, would you choose Sonys without ambiguity? I have seen in some reviews that Sennys have the best overall Audio quality ( possibly from an Audiophile’s perspective !) even though they’re insanely expensive with poor battery life..
