I know sound is subjective, but… Today I downloaded Ravenscroft 275 for iOS to my iPad. I used
my Roland RD-800 as a controller. I liked the grand piano patch on my Roland better.
I found the Ravenscroft to be too bright and had too much effects. I think with tweaking I will be
able to adjust the sound to my taste, but it will take a lot of work.

Hey John, great video about the Ravenscroft 275. I'm into mobile producing lately (along side the pc and laptop I use for producing), and WOW! This piano is excellent. It sounds better then my 61 keys keyboard which has a good sound engine. I definitely would say it's comparable with a high end and expensive keyboard/workstation from Yamaha or Korg that cost thousands of dollars. Question: I want to use my 61 keys keyboard with my iPhone. My keyboard has USB MIDI out. How can I hook this up and make it working? Thanks in advance. Greetings, Emiel.

Ravenscroft 275 along with my Ipad Pro added so much richness to my 1993 Kurzweil Mark 5 Grand Ensemble!!! For a long I've wished there was a way to update the sound of my almost never used 25 year old keyboard. Even though my instrument is in "As New" condition, I considered purchasing a new instrument for better sound quality. Digital sound has improved vastly over the past 25 years. But purchasing a new instrument is very costly. Then, here on YouTube, I discovered Ravenscroft 275 for Ipad. Now, not only am I in love with the sound of my instrument but Ravenscroft has given me access to several different pianos for $36.00!!! What an exciting find this was.

If you choose a major sample rate value, then your piano sound gonna be more realistic. 44.1 khz is a very average sound fidelity

I bought it and it is by far the most disappointing piano ever. The sampletank for ios is much better but honestly they do not come close to a good library running off a pc/mac. Don't buy this product, it's expensive and you will regret it. Just listen carefully to this video and you can tell the sound is just not full enough – at every preset. With all the tweaking I could not get it to sound better. I really wish the appstore would allow a refund at least within a week of purchasing.

What are you using to connect the midi to the iPad? Is it a simple lightning to USB adapter?

What an amazing piano by UVI, John, I fully agree. I was about to buy the full version when it was on sale a few weeks ago but thought I already have enough libraries. QUESTION: Would you know of a vintage organs/pianos bank you can recommend? I'm totally new to the iPad scene. I started playing in a band that uses the iPad for their lyrics (OnSong) playing Classic Rock. I have a Korg Trinity I use but some sounds I just can't find make happen with it, particularly the "Vox-ish" sounds (The Doors, Archies, Shocking Blue, etc). I just got a Korg PLUGKEY today and it's working amazingly with the Trinity (except Arturia Mini is distorting for some reason, but the Moog Model D rocks!). Thanks!

I don't know if you are encountering it. On headphones the sound is good but When connecting to an amp or mixer it sounds thin. I don't know what is the reason. Maybe it's not getting either the right or left channel. If anyone has solve this please share.
