Each year, the title of “best smartphone under $300” gets harder to snag – and each year, Motorola nails it yet again. The Moto G5 Plus is a worthy successor to its affordable forerunners, with smart software, useful features, and a price tag impossible to ignore. Even in a world of Honor 6Xs and Axon 7 Minis, I still think it’s the best phone under 300 smackers – but will that hold true for you? Find out in MrMobile’s Moto G5 Plus review!

Seeing a lot of comments regarding the compass in this phone. The G5 Plus I tested has a magnetometer (compass) and it works just fine! It appears that the standard G5 (i.e., NOT the G5 Plus) lacks a compass. The G5 Plus does include it.

Damn, americans… 10gig of mobile data really costs that much?? Here in a Asian country, 10 gigs per 10 days only cost like a buck. 20 bucks for 10 gigs? NAH…

I mean, sure, take entire minutes to describe a phone's naked cosmetic aesthetics, but damn bro, who in the fuck doesn't spend hundreds of dollars on a small, powerful phone without putting a fucking case on it?

The new Huawei Mate SE that just released for just over $200 is the best phone for the price. It's an improved version of the Honor 7x, which was considered the best $200 phone out there. With the Mate SE you get 64gb of storage, along with 4gb of ram. And the camera is amazing.

Fuck spending over $700 on a phone. You don't have to anymore.

Last week I purchased a new Moto G5 plus with 32 GB internal memory and 2 GB ram. So far I really like it. One thing concerns me though. The ram usage seems quite high to me, 1.5 GB out of 1.8 total. Is this a problem, of am I just being obsesive? If it is a problem, how can I fix it?
