As a hardcore iOS user, I will be doing a series of videos documenting my 30 day attempt to switch Windows Phone 8. I will not be allowing myself to use my iPhone 4 during this month, and will be documenting any surprises I encounter along the way.

This was shot at the end of Day 14.

Here’s the link to the discussion thread on the forum: http://linustechtips.com/main/news-reviews-article-guides/linus-videos-news-and-ramblings/71760-iswitched-to-windows-phone-8-day-14-experience-linus-tech-tips

Battery percentage is easy to see: Just swipe down to get the Action Center (or whatever it is called) and the percentage is visible in the battery icon 😉

Windows Phone is the better Blackberry 😉
I using for 4 yrs Blackberry and love it. But they are so many issues but RIM didn´t solved yet. Im watching the last 2 Days Windows Phone only Videos and i think thats is the very best OS.
So i got a Lumia 925 with 8.1 on Ebay, but it will arrive next week.
But im sure, i will be happy with my Lumia….
Thx for sharing your videos !

the only problem with window phones is the apps.Any other problems are just people nitpicking the small things.

    There are different sections:

Those who absolutely love Windows Phone.
And those who absolutely think it sucks.

Only thing why i don't keep my Lumia was, that there isn't enough game's and the facebook suck's on it.

Thank you for your friendly explanation, If possible make a video on how to utilize  the windows phone 100% in terms of MS office, IE and many more built-in features. and I have one more doubt that is it possible to install all software that we use in a windows 8 computer.

Has anyone found a good podcast app for Windows phones (please do not say the default xbox)? The ones I've tried where buggy, crashed, and difficult to manage. I just don't get why its so hard for a developer to make a nice podcast app.

In Settings, you can select the button to appear next to the URL bar (you had it set to default which is refresh/stop) so you can change it, like me, to be the Tabs button. So then it is one touch of the button to go to tabs view 🙂

To see the bar while browsing, tap the three dots in the bottom left corner. Or, just slightly drag them up and a bar will appear at the top with time, data connection, battery wifi connection etc.
