The Lenovo Yoga S940 is a new addition to Lenovo’s laptop lineup. Aesthetically it’s very appealing and it seems impossibly small considering it’s 14-inch display. Is the Lenovo Yoga S940 good enough to replace my Thinkpad Carbon X1?

Can you please showcase Thinkbook 13s. It seems quite affordable compared to the Thinkpad line-up, without much depreciation in specifications.

Any laptop under $1000 will likely be unreliable within your time at a university. It’s the most important tool so it think spending around $1500 is appropriate

I bought one of these and sent it back the next day. I spent a lot of money on this computer and the track pad didn't work. I'm still waiting for my money to be refunded, but they said it should be in about 10 days. I didn't realize Lenovo was IBM (yeah…THINKpad – I didn't put it together). When I called them and tried to get some help to see if I could get the track pad to work, their recorded greeting starts with something about IBM servers. Then I spoke VERY briefly to someone who rushed me to their service center, obviously not a service center, but a call center – people in a distant land reading from scripts. Gave me two options…do you want to swap it for a new laptop or do you want a refund. That was easy…refund. Perhaps with your computer/laptop reviews you can include a call to their "service" center and see how that goes. I'm definitely getting a cheaper laptop than this one…this was NOT worth the money.

I had a macbook pro for 7 years (2012 13 inch macbook pro), unfortunately it's almost time to say goodbye 🙁 Which laptop do you recommend in terms of likeability to my old laptop? AKA looking for a solid laptop, not too big that will last for a long time (price isn't an issue).

The Thinkpad line is their Business line where as the YOGA line is a consumer line hence why they made some compermises in port selection and even the keyboard and why audio is better over the Thinkpad.

IMHO, the screen on X1 is taller and easier to look at because you don't have to bend your neck more
