Those were great tips, especially the Animoji stickers or pictures you could send!
But there is a faster way if you want to “switch” from apps.
Just swipe on the lower part on the screen where the home button used to be and swipe left or right from there straight away!

Not a trick specifically for iPhone X but for all iPhones but it’s my favorite cuz I make calls to the veteran affairs a lot and they have a long recording and it’s annoying so if you go to the phone and dial the number press and hold the astrick till it turns to a comma then dial your extension and press call and it will dial straight to your extension no more long recording

My fave is assistive touch and you can either 3D touch to go back home or access the control center. You have other options wherein you can assign a specific gesture to some functions like taking a screenshot, multitasking or a quick toggle to your native camera app (one press, double press, long press and 3D touch are the options and you can simultaneously apply these to specific actions all at once). Mine, I just assign 3d touch to control center so it’s easy to reach and did not assign a single tap option to go back home so I wouldn’t accidentally press that button while navigating the apps. You can also increase or decrease the opacity of this button so it will not annoy you while inside an app.

I figured out something I zoomed in with two fingers on a YouTube video and it filled the whole screen. Maybe you should put this in.

The last tip didn't work for me to disable face id and re-enable passcode lock.  Is there a setting that needs to be enabled?
