Apps designed for the Mac often don’t receive as much attention as apps made for iOS devices, so we have a series here at MacRumors that’s designed to highlight useful and interesting Mac apps that are worth checking out and potentially investing in.

This month’s picks include apps for sharing files, organizing web apps, monitoring internet traffic, fixing repeating keys on a broken MacBook keyboard, and quickly pairing your AirPods to your Mac. Many of the apps we’re highlighting this month were chosen by our MacRumors forum members.

So not only do you pay a premium that gets wider every year for a mac, you also need an extra app for it to work properly. Apple really have fallen from a great height. I say this as a long time mac user. We really are getting screwed.

Don't waste your money on Air Buddy if you have Air Pods 2; it doesn't work with them. Also, Air Buddy does NOT work on a Mac Pro 2013 (the "trash can"). I guess the developer didn't have that to test on, either! (i.e. other devices on the same wifi net do NOT show up):0(((

The "Apps of the month" video are very inspirationaL. You should try Nisus Writer Pro (the best word processor for writers on the Mac ), Onyx (a system tool), Synology Drive (a Dropbox replacement for Synology nas owners), iA Writer (the best minimalist writing app on the Mac) and, last but not least Enpass (a password manager).
