Looks nice (definitely better than the IOS player); but does it have, or can you recommend an app that does have parametric (or quasi-parametric) EQ, and some sort of exciter (like the BBE Sonic Max Pro app), but that's STILL compatible with IOS, even with newly-downloaded music, when using the Apple Music service?

I used Sonic Max Pro for about five years, but now, newly downloaded music can no longer be accessed, through this app, which is awful.

The superb EQ feature gives me a lot more control over the overall sound, and there are presets for up Earbuds/Earphones, Headphones, External Speakers, Dock, Clock Radios, Speaker Docks, Sound Bar 1, Sound Bar 2, Home Music Systems, Super Bass, My Device #1, 2, or 3.). Extremely helpful.

If it costs ten bucks, I don't care. I want that kind of control over my music, again, from my iPhone or iPad.

At home, I plug into my system, which has nice 31 band EQ and I use an SPL Vitalizer, which pretty much breathes life into otherwise stale-sounding .mp3 files.

Can I get something like that in my iPhone or iPad (or an upgraded version of Cesium, if it's available) with all of those features, but that's still compatible with IOS?

Hi Matt. Would love for you to review our iOS app, Tunr. It's a music player and visualizer! https://appsto.re/us/lpGJ4.i | http://www.soundspectrum.com/tunr (remember the classic visualizer in iTunes? that was us)

But can you control it with Siri?

Apple CarPlay is kicking our butts with not allowing us to use other music players.

Apple music.app is the worst app they ever designed. What I like about Cesium: #1 Landscape mode. For we who are blind. #2 Scroll. Hold down song title and long title scroll kicks in. This frustrated the hell out of me with music.app. #3. Appearance settngs are cool. #4 Other settings are fun to play with. #5 Well worth the $1.45 I paid. Kudos Cesium and thanks heaps Matt. I've been looking for this app for a long time.

Do you know if the player supports folder support, as in you can put music into folders and play it that way?

I loved this video and totally agree with you, i own a lot of music, and appreciate having a superb platform to enjoy it on, apple use to reign supreme in this field, but lately???? this video and app alone made me rethink upgrading to an iphone. I use to think of and iphone as a beefed up super awesome ipod, now its like chasing samsung or something, idk imo.

Just switched over. Thanks for the review! My favorite features so far are 1) being able to favorite a playlist(s) so that they can be quickly accessed, 2) the navigation bar at the bottom, 3) it's far easier to rate the track… very similar to the Music app in a prior iOS version.

Watched a few videos on this…landed on this one after a while. Matt Fisher nailed the issues I have been harping about to my friends for the past week, especially about playing all songs by an artist (non shuffle). I was sold after this video and downloaded it 2 minutes later…best impulse buy yet. This feel pretty darn close to the original iTouch music player (whatever they called it at the time). There are a few changes, but I honestly embrace some of them, such as dark mode.

Thanks for the video man, I'm so happy right now!

for music i only use a ipod when im out and about the town my phone is for calling and texting only and maybe a few game apps. i have no idea just how much batt usage music wastes on a cell, thats why i only use a ipod. sure a ipod can only hold so much music but i don't need 10,000 songs 200 songs suit me just fine, by me doing this im saving batt power on my cell for emergencies

idk bout u but i see a cell phone as a lifeline when you're not home
